Understanding Golf Scoring Statistics
Gross Score is the total number of strokes you took during the round, without any handicap adjustment. This is the raw score you write on your scorecard.

How Is Golf Score vs Par Calculated?
Your score vs par is the standard way golfers communicate their performance relative to the course difficulty. It is calculated by subtracting your par total from your gross score:
Score vs Par = Gross Score − Par Total
For example, if you play a Par 4 and take 4 strokes, you are at even par. If you take 3 strokes, you are 1 under par. If you take 5 strokes, you are 1 over par. For a partial round, only the holes you actually played are included in this calculation.
What Is Net Score in Golf?

Golf Score Calculator for Partial Rounds
